Shannon Schmit, MD
Dr. Schmit grew up in Batavia, NY before attending the University of Rochester where she completed her undergraduate studies in biochemistry and was part of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She then moved to Buffalo to study medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine, where she graduated in 2019 and was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency training in Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in Buffalo in 2023, serving as the Chief Resident in her final year. She maintains board certifications in both internal medicine and pediatrics. When she's not practicing medicine, you'll find her spending time with her husband and beloved dog, baking, reading, or following all things women's sports, especially the WNBA.
